Sensual, playful, experimental and motivating. Born out of late nights in the studio and a growing pile of scans, clippings, and sketches, this book is a personal exploration of Hattie’s collage and illustration practice. It pulls heavily from her personal magazine collection – vintage ads, muscle mags, strange graphics, half-forgotten headlines/copy – and reimagines them through layered compositions with added playful hand-drawn elements. Visual Stimulation is part visual journal, part intuitive experiment.
