Rusty Brown is an exceptional and extensive graphic novel that scrutinizes the most important themes of human life and presents them to us in unprecedented detail. The author, with empathy and the meticulousness of a scientist, reveals the inconsistencies that characterize every kind of human experience – from thrilling to completely mundane episodes. Just like entomologists, we observe all stages of the human life cycle – from childhood to old age: a child who wakes up equipped with superpowers; a teenager coming of age under the watchful eye of a despotic father; a father dealing with his emotional issues on the surface of Mars; and a middle-aged woman trying to find love on planet Earth.
