Whether the goal is to be a classical or a jazz performer, improvisation is a deep, intense way to learn the rules of music. Good improvisers become native speakers of musical language and not just readers of notes. This book is especially geared to the classically-trained late elementary/early intermediate pianist (and their teacher) who wants to grasp the basics of improv. Siskind guides student and teacher through fun, easy exercises along with helpful tips and guidelines. MFSKU HL00159521 UPC 9781495062605
